FUN: Welcome to Waikiki, Joey

This is the first of 12 customer profiles we are running between now and Thanksgiving.

We recently sat down with Waikiki newbie, Joey and ran him through our version of the Proust questionnaire (made famous recently in Vanity Fair). He discusses his penchant for margaritas, mischievous men and how Parker Posey's Party Girl has the perfect personality.

Where were you born? Michigan City, Indiana. How long have you lived in Hawaii? 3 days. Your relationship status? Single and available. What are your favorite qualities in a man? He's got to have a sense of humor. I like hairy bodies, but I like smooth bodies, too…and he's got to be smart, fun and love the water. He's kinky with a bit of sensual mischief… What are your chief characteristics? People tell me I'm a good guy, I'm funny, and, obviously adventurous. What do you appreciate most about your friends? They understand my quirks and they always have my back. What is your idea of perfect happiness? Being on the beach, swimming with friends, being close to my family (but not too close). What's your idea of complete misery? Being around mean people- I'll just walk away. If you weren't yourself, who would you be? I'm completely happy as myself.

Where else in the world would you like to live? Oh gosh, I just got here…so I'll stay here for now. Who are your favorite heroes of fiction? Mary (Parker Posey) in Party Girl. She's clueless and doesn't know what's out there and without her even knowing it, she was able to make great strides and ultimately refocuses her life. What talent would you like to be gifted with? I want to be able to sing. And do gymnastics. Not necessarily at the same time, but maybe… Your favorite drink? Cazadores Margarita, no salt. What would you tell others about Bacchus Waikiki? Bacchus has a great and friendly staff. I know some of them from working with them at Lazy Bear for the past few years- and I've met more of them on recent visits. I like the crowd at Bacchus too- such a variety of people: young and seasoned, locals and visitors. Oh, and the drinks are good, too, LOL. Anything else to add? Well, I'm very excited to be here. I'm new to Honolulu and looking forward to meeting lots of people. I'll be starting work at In Between in the coming weeks.

If you see Joey around town, be sure to give him a warm Waikiki aloha, and say "Happy Birthday." His birthday is Sunday, November 8th. :-)
