"Legend has it that Trader Vic’s very own Victor J. Bergeron whipped up the concoction for some friends visiting from Tahiti in 1944. Upon tasting it, one of the friends, Carrie Guild, cried out “Maita’i roa ae!”, which translates to “out of this world!”

We've decided to make the mai tai our own in Hawaii - and this classic cocktail is only one of our specialty drinks.  Learn more about the origins of the Mai Tai at The Alcohol Professor, and come one down tonight to order the classic and original recipe Bacchus version and taste it for yourself.
