It has been a great month sharing drinks and good times with family and friends at Bacchus. Today, there's football and bloody marys followed by more football (and maybe some soccer) and more cocktails. You'll meet old friends and make new ones. These will be memories we'll want to relive over and over again.
So stay healthy. Please.
But we know that sometimes your health is in your control, other times it's not.
About half of all men and one-third of all women in the US will develop cancer during their lifetimes. So chances are, someone you know HAD, HAS, or WILL GET some form of cancer. Test yourself and/or see your physician.
At Bacchus, we support Movember because it’s about men’s health. We're passionate Mo'Bros as Movember is a fun way to get guys to talk about their issues, whether its about cancer, other medical concerns or mental health, Movember is the time to speak out and go get tested. (HIV, prostate and testicular cancer).
We've had friends who were recently diagnosed. Here's what he had to say:
“If there’s any learning from this experience, it’s that the things I did once I was diagnosed, are really the things I should’ve been doing for years before I was diagnosed.“
So please be aware and seek help.
So as the month winds down, help support our cause by donating to the Movember Foundation through our page or by purchasing a $2 Bacchus Mo'Bros pin or a $1 peel-and-stick moustache.
We'll give your our monthly tally on Wednesday. Thank you.
