Jeremy wrote in late last night to ask:
Wow! It looks like you guys had a lot of fun people at the 4th of July beach party!
Who were the groups there? How do I get in contact to hang with them?
He was also particularly interested in a hunky hottie with big shoulders...we're working on that, too.... meanwhile, here's what we told him:
Thanks for asking! The Ft. DeRussy Beach Park 4th of July party was open and welcomed anyone to attend. Of course, the focus was the LGBT community, but all were welcome. The all-day Independence Day party (pics) was second annual event.
The party was the mastermind of several Oahu gay group leaders. The groups involved:

Hawaii Legacy Foundation
Hawaii's Hiking & Activites Group (LGBT) - Oahu
The Aloha Bears
The Hawaii Gay Flag Football League
Bacchus was happy to support the community and help provide some equipment, tents, floats, food, and drink for those in attendance. What a great group of people! Just like Bacchus, you'll find that all these groups are friendly and welcoming.
We hope you feel comfortable enough to contact any of these groups to find out more. We look forward to seeing you at future events. And…
Your best bet to meet some of these folks will be at TRIVIA NIGHT* at Bacchus this Thursday night at 7pm. Come play, we'll hook you up with a team.
*TRIVIA NIGHT at Bacchus is typically on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month at 7pm. When there is a Monday holiday that coincide with a 1st or 3rd Monday, the trivia event that week will be moved to Thursday night.
