An-ti-ci…

We're having a party today! So excited! Join us!

More on that after these photos! Check it out, we had lots of fun last night, too!

With the help of the HIGFFL, of course! It'll be a great beer bust with the Super Bowl playing on all 4 screens with sound. Raffle tickets and amazing prizes (with very little time on the microphone). Don't forget about jock straps, Jell-O shots and beer!

Rooting for a team today? Bacchus has a favorite! We're excited with anticipation!

In thinking about the future, we consider both the good things that can happen and also the bad, which means we experience both anticipated pleasure and anticipated disappointment.

When we expect good things, we feel the pleasure we presume we will feel. When we expect bad things, we experience the anticipated discomfort, which we often describe as stress.

Anticipation can therefore be seen as not a 'real' emotion as it largely involves experiencing expected other future emotions, such as joy or sadness. Most gay men, sports fans or not, experience this during their initial sexual encounter with a man.... wondering…

What'll it be?

Whether the outcome is just as you imagined or a little different than you expected, it'll all be in the books by the time the next day comes. Then it's just an experience. :-)

Let us know your most anticipated moments and biggest surprises!

Tomorrow night is trivia night at 7PM. You should know that Carly Simon sang the song Anticipation. Some lyrics below.

We can never know about the days to come
But we think about them anyway, yay
And I wonder if I'm really with you now
Or just chasin' after some finer day
