Join us! It's MOVEMBER! Are you growing a 'stache? An easy way to contribute to men's health causes is to purchase a pint of Mango Cart beer at Bacchus. Another is to buy a stick-on mustache from our bar staff. It's flirty Friday so we're also happy to let you know video DJ Matt is on at 10PM and we're selling Tito's Vodka for $6 from open to close!
The way someone does something in their own characteristic method is called a modus operandi. It’s often abbreviated as “m.o.” It comes from the trivial Latin phrase meaning “method of operation.”
So with that in mind, we ask, WHAT’S YOUR M.O. FOR FLIRTING?
What do you do when you see someone you like at Bacchus or at a party? If you’re not sure what to do, eye contact flirting may be the best thing in the world to help you get their attention and make an immediate impression.
Casually stare now and then. See a guy you like? Casually stare at him now and then. Soon enough, he’ll notice you back.
Exchange a fleeting glimpse. Don’t be too quick or you’ll end up looking like an annoying stalker. When the guy you like catches you staring and stares back at you with curiosity, lock eyes for a second and look away immediately.
Repeat the glances. Look at him again. Stare at him, but look away immediately as soon he looks back at you. Don’t linger and stare back for more than a second just yet.
Let him know what’s on your mind. If he catches you sneaking a few glances now and then, he’s going to understand that you’re interested. Don’t stare for more than a second because you’ll kill the excitement.
Build the excitement. Now that you’ve got him looking back at you now and then to see if you’re still staring, it’s time to build the excitement. Stop staring for a couple of minutes. Wait for him to stare at you now and then.
Smile and blush. Talk to your friends or appear busy, and stare for a second or two. And each time, look away smiling in an obvious manner. Don’t smile while staring just yet. Always smile only while looking away.
Smile while staring. Now that you’re certain he’s interested in staring at you and exchanging stolen glances, it’s time to take the plunge. During one of your longer glances, look straight into his eyes and stretch a little smile. There’s no turning back here.
You’ve got to make a move now. The best move is always a direct approach - walk up to him and introduce yourself! You’ll know quickly if the flirty smiles have worked in your favor.
Offer to buy him a drink (Tito’s + soda with a lemon is only $6 today). Talk about whether or not you think Mariah Carey is deserving of a “diva” moniker. Or just ask him lots of questions. Perhaps romance will bloom!
