TRIVIA NIGHT RETURNS TO BACCHUS AT 7PM! Tonight’s theme: WILD CARD!
Talking about WILD THINGS: Song Kran, Thai New Year in Bangkok was just celebrated this past weekend (April 13-15).
It’s world famous in the gay community, too, but is it really as good as everybody says it is?
The Song Kran 12 party weekend put on by GCircuit (who gets photo credit for the image above), was 3 days of partying and good clean fun. :-) The pool parties and dance parties and celebrations of Song Kran needs to be on every gay man’s bucket list!
Having fun is a big part of Thai culture, and having fun amidst scorching heat is no exception. The hottest month of the year, April sees the entire country go bananas in friendly water fights and street parties that last nearly a week.
Contradictory to what you may have witnessed throughout Song Kran, fun-loving Thais don’t just throw water at each other for no good reason (besides having a kick out of seeing other people soaking wet). The real meaning behind the splashes is to symbolically wash off all misfortunes in the past year, thus welcoming the new year with a fresh new start.
Whaddaya think about a 2019 Song Kram festival hosted by Bacchus? It could happen! Help us out and let us know if you’d join in. Meanwhile, come play with us tonight at Trivia Night (7PM)! We’ve got flatbread pizzas, delicious sandwiches, tasty cocktails and brews. So much fun!!!!
