It’s SATYRDAY at Bacchus. It’s the day and night to let your fantasies run wild. After your $6 Jack cocktail (the Saturday Bacchus special) What kind of fantasy will you live out? Let your mind wander....you’ve read fantasy books, seen fantasy movies and even played a fantasy role in your latest Scruff/Grindr/Tinder profile...
What’ll it be tonight?
Fantasy readers expect certain things from the books they consume. And no, we're not talking about common tropes like elves, dwarfs, trolls and dragons! We're referring to much broader elements – general concepts within which you can be as inventive and imaginative as you like.
For your Satyr fantasies to come true…
First, you’ll need magical powers. This is the element that sets fantasies apart. Magical powers that do not or cannot exist in the real world; advanced abilities or powers. What would yours be? Your magical powers may need rules and parameters, but there's no end to the creativity and originality that can be channeled into a magic system.
We asked our blog readers to submit
satyr fantasies. We’ll be sharing them
with you during the next three weeks.
Come back to the Bacchus blog on Saturdays (and every day) over the next month to read our reader-submitted SATYRDAY Fantasies....
Part 1: Beach Boys
Part 2: Maverick
Part 3: The Trophy
Interested? Want to submit your own fantasy? Let us know. Meanwhile come to Bacchus tonight and play with the men and women of HIGFFL as they announce their 2018 team lineups.
For trivia buffs: in the 2017 film My Little Pony: The Movie, the Storm King resembles a satyr with cloven hooves and a horned crown, while his upper body is that of a baboon.
