Do you enjoy the taste of nuts? What kind of nuts turn you on? :-)

There is a macadamia nut liqueur on the market (Trader Vic’s), but sadly, there isn’t much of a demand for it. At Bacchus, the closest you’ll get to the flavors of macadamia nuts in your drink is our Classic Mai Tai. And today is the perfect day to order up 2-4-1 well cocktails (because that’s our Wednesday special). You might also enjoy $2 off any call drink! With DJ Takai spinning at 10PM, it’s gonna be a wonderful day.

Delectable macadamia nuts have a creamy, buttery taste that adds a subtle richness to everything they grace. These versatile and trivial nuts originated in Australia and were named for the physician and chemist, John Macadam, who discovered them. Most of today’s world supply of macadamia nuts is grown here in Hawaii. Growers first began cultivating macadamia trees in Hawaii in 1921.

Where to get your fill of Macadmia nuts on Oahu:
On the windward (eastern) side of the island, there’s a macadamia nut shop and tropical farm, Tropical Farms . They offer a wide range of inventive flavored macadamia nuts for you to sample. They’re open daily from 9:30am to 5pm. See this map for directions.

Today, we’ll have some delicious nuts to pass out to our customers, so come on by to enjoy a nutty day (and night) at Bacchus Waikiki!
